Donald “Don” M. Pester, age 71, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly at his residence, Thursday, March 26th, 2026.

Don was born in Wyandotte, MI, but grew up in Wapakoneta, Ohio. Don lived a majority of his life in Bryan, Ohio, before moving to Toledo. He dedicated majority of his life in the food service industry as a chef and restaurant owner. He spent the last several years as a Taxi and medical service driver, until his retirement.

Don was a big The Ohio State, Cincinnati Reds, and Bagels Fan. But his true love was gardening, particularly sun flowers and cooking a great steak.

He is survived by his daughter, Dawne (Michael) Nagel, of Bryan, Ohio; and 3 grandchildren, Cody, Seth, and Katelan. He was preceded in death by his sister, Jeannie Mauck, of Boca Raton, Fl.

There will be no funeral or memorial at this time. A small private family gathering will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family to help defray the expenses related to Donalds sudden loss.
