Donald J. Pakulski

Donald J. Pakulski, age 72, of Toledo, passed away January 12, 2014, at Ebeid Hospice, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Toledo on March 9, 1941 to Daniel and Rose Pakulski. Don was a 1959 graduate of Macomber High School and retired from the Toledo Police Department after 25 years of service. He lived for his family and his greatest joy was attending sporting events and recitals to see his grandchildren perform. Don is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, his high school sweetheart, Paulette( Horoszewski) Pakulski; children: Lynn (David) Wainscott, Thomas (Michelle) and Michael (Tricia) Pakulski; grandchildren: Chad and Stephanie Wainscott, Wendy (Scott Moewe) Wainscott, Kyle (Kelsey Whitenburg) Pakulski, Jordan, Jessica, Jenna, Allison, Grace and great granddaughter, Elizabeth; siblings: Robert (Judy), Judy Morrow and Rick; sister-in-law Diane; brother-in-law Jeff (Kim) Gardyza and mother-in-law, Pauline Gardyza. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Shirley, brother, David; father-in-law, Sylvester Horoszewski; step-father-in law, Pete Gardyza and brother-in-law, Terry Morrow. In honoring Dons wishes, no visitation will be held. A memorial mass is scheduled for Wednesday at 10 am at Blessed Sacrament Church , 4227 Bellevue Rd, Toledo. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to Blessed Sacrament Church or charity of donors choice.
