Donald Owen Nolte, Jr.

Donald Nolte, age 82, of Maumee, Ohio, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother, passed away unexpectedly in Perrysburg on December 5, 2025. Born on April 26, 1943 in Toledo, Ohio, Donald was the son of Donald Owen Nolte, Sr. and Marjorie E. Nolte (Nellis).

Donald attended Perrysburg High School and went on to serve his country in the United States Army from 1962-1964 where he was stationed in Germany. In 1966, Don married the love of his life, Marsha Lee Nolte (Young) beginning a beautiful marriage that lasted 59 years. Donald was employed by the Johns Manville company for 39 years from 1966 and retired in 2005. Don enjoyed adventures with his wife Marsha, NASCAR, boating, fishing, and found joy spending time with his family.

Left to cherish Don’s memory is his devoted wife of 59 years, Marsha Lee Nolte (Young); his three children, Derek (Chris) Nolte, Sundae (Jeff) Artz, and Guy (Tracy) Nolte; six grandchildren, Guy Nolte, Jr., Allison (Blake) Artz, Kyle (Emily) Artz, Taylor (Andrew) Michalak, Kaitlyn (Greg) Bowles, Megan (Tyler) Nolte; two great-grandchildren, Eli Reeve-Artz, Cora Marie Artz; brother Thomas (Carolyn) Nolte. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Mary E. Nolte.

Don’s legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
