Donald K. Matney, Sr.

Donald Keith "BIG D" Matney Sr., age 59, passed peacefully in his home on February 12, 2023. He was born on June 12, 1963 in Toledo, Ohio to Dennis and Faye Matney (Kendall).

His kids and grandkids were his pride and joy. He loved boating, fishing, the OSU Buckeyes and Detroit Lions. Donald attended Libbey High School.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers, Thomas Matney and Kenny Ray Matney.

Donald is survived by his children, Donald Matney Jr., Stephanie Matney, Daniel (Mindy) Matney, Shanna, Matney, Derek Matney, and Dustin (Jessica) Matney; 18 grandchildren, Rayme, Devin, Aliciana, Lexia, Hannah, Bria, Donovan, Donny III, Dalen, Emma, Jayce, Mylee, Paisleigh, Kali, Mila, Kaysin, Devin, and Breana; ex-wife, Shelley Matney; siblings, Bob (Jessie), Dale (Brenda), David (Sandy), Ron (Lisa), Brenda Matney Mullen (Paul), and Vera Matney DeVault (Bill).

The family would like to invite family and friends to join in a Celebration of Life on February 26, 2023 at The Toledo Sailing Club 12-5 pm at 2701 Broadway Toledo, Ohio.
