Donald D. Hauri

Donald D. Hauri, age 95, passed away Wednesday November 4, 2015 at Lakes of Monclova. The son of Charles and Ethel Hauri, he was born September 1, 1920 in Moline , OH. He was a graduate of Waite High School. Don played one season with the Toledo Mud Hens, as a first baseman, before being drafted in to the Army. After being honorably discharged, he began his career with LOF, retiring in 1982 as a Mill Wright after 36 years. He married Virginia Komorowski in May 1946 and they raised 6 children together. He enjoyed baseball, bowling, fishing and playing cards. He is survived by his children, Jean (Ken) Brandt, Jan Kalucki, Mary Nowak, Linda (Daryl) Dunning, Margaret ( Craig) Scharrschmidt; 11 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife; son, Donald; sisters, Virginia Taylor and Doris DeLong. There will be no visitation and services will be private.
