Donald D. Glover, Jr.

Donald Duane Glover Jr. passed through the pearly gates of heaven on January 5th 2024.

Donald was born at Flower Hospital in Toledo, Ohio on May 12th, 1952 to Donald Glover Sr. and Joan (Brandt) Glover. Donald grew up and attended school in south Toledo where he would later meet his wife, Susan Gartee. Their marriage produced one child (daughter, Paula) in 1978 before ending in divorce in 1981.

Donald continued to live in south Toledo and became a fixture in the neighborhood. He enjoyed bartering, spending his weeks looking for items to sell at his shop at the J&E Flea Market on Dorr St. on the weekends. He also led AA at MCO for many years and took great pride in his over 30 years of sobriety.

He was preceded in death by both his parents; his brothers, Doug and Timothy; and his grandson, Scotti. Donald is survived by his siblings, Deb, Rick, Robert, David, James (Scott), Cheryl, and Diane; his only daughter, Paula; and his grandchildren, Antonio, Samantha, Alyssa, Paige, and Nathanael (Hayden).

The family wishes to thank the amazing staff of University Toledo Medical Center who cared for Donald in his final days. Although no services will be held, Donald will be cremated at the Cremation Society of Toledo.
