Donald G. Daniels

Donald “Don” G. Daniels, 82, of Toledo, Ohio passed away peacefully in his sleep, on Tuesday, January 30, 2024. The son of Arnolis Daniels and Margie Hall Daniels. He was born November 4, 1941, in Floyd Co., Kentucky. Don was employed at Ford Motor Co., Maumee Stamping Plant, for 33 years, where he met his loving wife, Cathy (Balent) Atkins. They married June 28, 1980 in Monroe, Michigan. He loved spending time with his family and friends on the Maumee River, playing his guitar, singing, pontoon boat rides, and campfires. He enjoyed weekend poker games at home with family and friends. After retirement, Don and Cathy traveled the USA in their fifth wheel camper, stopping at Casinos along the way, sometimes convoying with his siblings.

Don was a loving husband, dad, pawpaw, great pawpaw, and uncle. His memory will be cherished by his wife of 43 1/2 years, Cathy; son, Donald “Jeff” (Cindy) Daniels; daughters, Michele (Darren) Seagle and Missy (Tom Peters) Atkins; grandchildren, Sharon (Dustin) Desarro, Larie (Brian) McKenney, Matthew (Brooke) Atkins, Tylar and Kailey Lind; great grandchildren, Gavin, Josie, Isaiah, Darlina, Iliana, Leigha, Alex, Rene, Daniela, and Julian; brothers, Hollis (Anita) Daniels, David “Ronnie” (Ellen) Daniels; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Don was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Sheila Daniels; granddaughters, Rikki Perez, Kelly Albert and Heather Daniels; sister, Barbara Daniels; brothers, Arnolis, James and Billy Daniels.

A Celebration of Life will be held at The Amazing Grace Baptist Church, 1205 S. Crissey Rd., Holland, Ohio 43528 on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at 12:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial contributions be given or mailed to The Amazing Grace Baptist Church in memory of Don.
