Donald M. Allison, 76, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully on September 1, 2026, at Flower Hospital in Sylvania. Born to Betty and Merle Allison in Toledo, he was a proud U.S. Air Force veteran and a journeyman tool-and-die maker known for his strength, discipline, determination, and willingness to help others. Though tall, stern, and straightforward, Donald had a generous heart, a good sense of humor, and a deep love for his family.
He enjoyed cars, music, antiques, dogs, traveling, and building and repairing things, taking particular pride in his home and yard. He and his beloved wife, Sharon, shared a love of travel and antiques, including adventures along Route 66 and visits to Amish towns.
Donald is survived by Sharon; four stepchildren; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one sister; and two brothers. He also had the special honor of raising three of his grandchildren, leaving a lasting impact on their lives.
He will be remembered for his work ethic, independence, humor, and the many ways he showed his love through his actions. His family will deeply miss his presence, stories, stubborn determination, and the reassurance that if something needed fixing, Pa would figure it out.
