Diana Sue Harmon

Diana was born May 3, 1969 in Defiance, Ohio to Kermit and Delores (Cabell) Harmon. Diana contracted spinal meningitis at the age of 10 months and lived at the Filling Home of Mercy in Napoleon, OH until she was sixteen when she moved to Sunshine Communities (then Sunshine Children's Home) in Maumee on August 29, 1985.

Diana enjoyed watching people, and loved to be included in conversations. She communicated her wants and needs through vocalizations, body language and facial expressions. Diana had a friendly demeanor and valued the relationships with her family and staff. Diana loved music, especially Disney movies and music and musicals. She liked Trolls; movies, music, and stage productions. She liked cars and attending car shows.

Diana was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her siblings, Brenda, Rick, Sherry and Michael; several nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles; and her Sunshine staff and friends. A memorial service for Diana will be held at Sunshine Communities, 7223 Maumee Western Road, Maumee on Thursday, September 24, 2026 at 10:30 AM. Friends and family are welcome to attend.
