Diana L. Achter

Diana Lynn (Pierce) Achter, age 78 of Toledo, passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2023, at the Ebeid Hospice Center in Sylvania. She was born to the late Roy Pierce and Maxine (Kidd) Pierce on July 8, 1945.

Diana was a graduate of Whitmer High School. She previously was employed at Erikson’s Glass and Mirror and then spent time working at Diversified Insurance before retiring.

Diana loved spending time with family and friends. She also enjoyed taking day trips and short vacations for sightseeing, shopping, food and other activities.

Diana is survived by her twin sister, Connie (Pierce) Piotrowski; two children, Troy Lewandowski (Jenny) and Tracy Dyer; two grandchildren, Nicole Robinson (Corey) and Kelsey Lewandowski; two great grandchildren, Isla Robinson and Lennon Robinson and a number of other loving relatives and close friends. Diana was preceded in death by her dog, Lily who she was very fond of.

Diana requested her ashes be interred at Toledo Memorial Park in Sylvania, Ohio. A small private gathering will occur at Toledo Memorial Park in the near future. A special thank you to Diana’s sister, Connie Piotrowski for providing daily care for Diana for the past three months, which allowed her to stay in her home as long as possible. The family also wishes to thank all of those who cared for her during her last days. The nurses and staff of Ohio Living for her in home care were very helpful.
