Dennis P. Denny Stapleton

Dennis P. “Denny” Stapleton Denny peacefully passed from this life on May 26, 2012 at the V.A. Hospital in Ann Arbor, MI. He was courageous to the end as he fought lung cancer. He was born April 24, 1937 in Toledo. OH to Thomas and Mary Stapleton. He was the proud father of three children, Cathleen Fouty (Don Block) of Mason, OH, Kevin Stapleton (Carolyn) of South Bend, IN and Michael Stapleton (Cliff Kraege) of Madison, WI. Along with his children, he is survived by four grandchildren, Jessica Farnon (Matt), Brittany Craig (John), Olivia Hennessy and Ryan Block. He is further survived by his siblings Carol, Tim (Mary), Eileen Szabo (Marvin), Suzanne, Mary, Jane Klemm (Alan), Shelia Wisniewski (Mark) and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, beloved brother Johnny and brother-in-law Gene Wisniewski . Denny was a sharply-dressed man whose greatest passion in life was the game of golf. He was just as comfortable on the dance floor as the fairway. His entertaining razor sharp wit was enjoyed by all who loved him. Denny never minced words and almost always expressed his love through humor. A celebration of Dennys Life, Funeral Mass and Luncheon will be held at 11:30 AM on Saturday, June 30 at St. Michaels Church, 420 Sandusky Street, Toledo OH. The family will receive visitors beginning at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, Dennys children suggest donations to the V.A. Hospital in Ann Arbor or the American Cancer Society in Dennys name.
