Dennis Goodson

Den passed away October 23, 2021 with his family by his side. He was born in Bryan, Ohio on September 25, 1947 to Rita (Stark) and Richard Goodson. He was a graduate of Bryan High School and Kent State University. He proudly served his country from 1970 to 1973 with the United States Marine Corps and was honorably discharged as a First Lieutenant. After leaving the Marine Corps he started out in management for Continental Can in Patterson New Jersey. His work took him and his family to Cincinnati, Columbus, Kansas City and finally back to Ohio. He later transitioned to accounting and finished his career at The Delventhal company as CFO. He enjoyed coaching his children in baseball and basketball and later in life got his greatest pleasure in watching his grandchildren play sports, participate in band, quiz bowl and NHS. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard; his stepfather, Sid; his brother-in-law, Bill and sister-in-law, Rose. His is survived by his wife of 51 years, Linda; his son, Chris (Lisa) Goodson; daughter, Mandy Leitner; and his beloved grandchildren, Ethan, Jacob, Emma and Sophia. Also surviving are his mother, Rita Hancock; sister, Shirley Johnson; brothers, Randy (Sandy) Goodson and Greg Hancock; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. Services will be at Little Flower Catholic Church at 5522 Dorr Street Toledo, Ohio 43615 on November 8th with visitation in the church vestibule from 10-11:00 followed by Mass at 11:00. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Society, Little Flower Catholic Church in Den's memory.
