Dennis M. Detrick

Dennis Detrick, 73, of Point Place, joined his parents and brothers in Heaven, on August 23, 2024, after a brief illness.

To know him was to love him. He was a kind soul with a heart of gold. According to him, he was “shy, sweet and innocent,” but we all knew better. He was a fixture in the Point Place boating community with long-time memberships in the Ottawa River Yacht Club, Outings Unlimited and Bayview Amvets Post. Dennis served in the U. S. Army and was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW).

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Lynette (Coburn) Detrick, and his brothers Kevin and Joe. He is survived by his sisters Linda (Mike) Jaegly and Peg (Roger) Drouillard, as well as countless cousins and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to join in a celebration of his life on Saturday, September 21, 2024, from 2 to 6 pm at the Ottawa River Yacht Club in Point Place.
