Debra C. (Koester) Zich, age 72, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away peacefully, on September 29, 2024. Debbie was born on August 26th, 1952, in Oregon, Ohio.
Debbie was a 1970 Clay High School graduate and was known for being a hard worker. She started working at the age of 14 for the Oregon Banquet room. Over the years, she worked at Hills, Maumee Bay State Park, many restaurants around the area, and the Toledo Blade. After retiring, she was employed part-time for Culver’s. She made friends wherever she was and is loved by many people. She enjoyed traveling and was blessed to see a lot of cities, states and even countries. Debbie always made her children a priority, even traveling to Colorado to see her daughter and grandson often after they relocated. She was constantly on the go and loved rollerblading and riding her bike.
Debbie was always the life of the party. She was genuine, caring, spunky, and fun loving. She was as hard as nails, with a heart of gold. Debbie was always doing everything for everyone and popping in to see all her friends and family, randomly and constantly.
Left to cherish her memory include her three children, who were absolutely everything to her, Casey, Patches and Shantesta; grandchildren, which were her pride and joy, Dinae, Tiffany, Seth, Caiden, Majesta, Jordan, and Lauren. Debbie also leaves behind 6 great-grandchildren; brothers, Walt, Danny and Bobby Koester; her sisters, Becky (Kevin) Lewis and Nancy Takacs; her longtime boyfriend and partner in life, Al Manteuffel. She was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Marilyn Koester; grandparents, Norm and Cleo Jones; brothers, Butch, Melvin & Keith Koester; sister, Nancy Koester; nephew, Austin Takacs; and great-grandson, Nemasio Garcia.
