“Our angel” Debra A. Walton (60) of Toledo Ohio passed away on Tuesday May 8th, 2018 at St Anne’s Hospital in Toledo, Ohio. She not only worked on hearts but had one of the biggest hearts of all. Debra was a graduate of Libbey High School and the University of Toledo. She worked in the Cardiology field for years as an EKG Technician and later as an Ultrasound Tech at Medical College of Ohio for (24) years. After several years of dedicated service at UTMC she moved to St Vincent Medical Center and worked as a Pediatric Ultrasound Technician when the Children’s Hospital opened. She was a hard worker with a huge heart and was lovingly dedicated to her family and job. Debra was born on October 1, 1957 in Toledo Ohio from the union of Bonnie Mae (Smith) Byrd (deceased) and Thomas Winn Byrd (deceased) of Demopolis AL. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband Leo E. Walton of Toledo OH. Children: daughter Demietra K. Williams (Edward) of New Jersey, son Desean Williams of Montgomery AL, and son Dohnovan L. Walton of Toledo OH. Step children: Charita Elledge, Dion Elledge, and Monique Walton. Sister Lula Mae Bennings of Toledo OH, niece Sharvaca Tilman (Raymond) and nephew Keith Bennings; Sister Cleo Robinson (deceased) and nephew Paul Robinson (Renata); Sister Willie Lee Williams (deceased) and nephews Larry Page (Jennifer) and Robert Page (Sylvia) and nieces Nesie Williams (Keith) and Nina Andres (Shane). Grand children: Soiree Williams, Le’Andra Braxton, Da’Nayee Berry, Destiny Wofford, Daizha Walton, and Airys Elledge. Great Grand Children: Cameron Brown. Special family and friends Mrs. Bernice Chambers, Olivia Carter, Vera Davis, Garelda Seller, Joanne Bolden and Ms Avery. Her life was full of family, friends and fun. In her spare time she loved to read, travel and watch sports. Everyone who had the opportunity to cross paths with her will always remember the sweet, kind and giving soul of Mrs. Debra Walton, she will be sorely missed. The family of Debra Walton wants to thank the medical staff at St Anne’s Mercy Hospital Toledo Ohio for all of their love and kindness in her care. The memorial services will be held at Mt. Nebo Baptist Church on Saturday May 19th at 2pm. Pastor Cedric Brock will be officiating.
