Debra Elaine Magyar

Debra “Debbie” Elaine Magyar, 63 years, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 23, 2022. She was born in Wheeling, West Virginia, daughter to late Robert and Bonnie Tyras, eventually moving with her family to live in Rochester, Ohio.

Debbie followed her life’s calling becoming a Registered Nurse for over 35 years and enjoyed a few years of being a traveling nurse. She enjoyed traveling to California and Nevada. Her favorite place was Reno, Nevada. She loved gambling at the Peppermill Resort, taking in the beauty of Lake Tahoe and experiencing the awe of the Giant Sequoias.

When life began to slow down and it was time to retire, Debbie moved in with her daughter and grandson. She appreciated spending time in their peaceful backyard observing the birds, squirrels, and fairy diddles and seeing her favorite rose bushes bloom. She enjoyed playing rummy while listening to her favorite music and she loved watching crime shows.

Debbie was a kindhearted soul, always giving without ever wanting anything in return. Every year around Christmas time, she would pick a person in need and give them $100 just to see them smile. She put the needs of others before her own until the very end. In her final hours, she was surrounded by her family until she took her last breath. She will be missed by so many!

Debbie is survived by her daughter, Krissy Magyar, grandson, Chance Magyar; her little brother, Brian Tyras and his kids, Sammy (Joey), Katie (Cory) and Brian (Sydney) and eight nephews and nieces; and grand dogs, Lola, Buddy, Marley. She was proceeded in death by her father, Robert Tyras; mother, Bonnie Tyras and big brother, Bobby Tyras.
