Debra “Debbie” Marie (Fisher) Bauman, age 67, passed away at Toledo Hospital on Friday, November 15, 2024, surrounded by family. Debbie was born November 9, 1957, to David and Lucille Fisher. She was the oldest of six children, and the only girl.
Debbie was a 1975 graduate of Swanton High School and Penta Career Center. It was there that she met two of her lifelong best friends, Karen and Susanna. The three of them were great story tellers. After graduating high school, she joined the work force and met her roommate, who turned out to be her lifelong best friend, Gail. They shared many great memories together. Debbie worked at Aramark Uniform Service for over twenty-five years. She met many special people and continued several relationships over the years.
Debbie loved her cats, Gizmo, Oliver, Baby, Simba, and SJ. She enjoyed spending time with her grand-pups, Stella, Peanut, and Midnight. She would spoil them when they came to visit and cuddled with each of them.
Above all, she loved her children. She always put them first and sacrificed so much as a single mom. It was during their childhood that she met her dear friend, Ann, who became like a second mother to her kids.
Debbie enjoyed spending time with her late husband, Barry. They would go for walks around the park with their cat, Gizmo. He had his own special stroller, and the goal was to see their favorite young couple, Shawn and Taylor, and their pup, Layla.
She was also an avid Ohio State football fan. She had a soft spot for the hometown Browns, thanks to her dear friend, Beth. After marrying Barry in 2018, she became a Dallas Cowboys fan.
Debbie is survived by her loving daughter, Jennifer (Jay) Essing; sons, Brian (Jamie) Fisher-Mock, Craig (Casey) Hattery, and Bryan (Dannielle) Bauman; “adopted son” Andrew; granddaughter, Casey (Justin) Reinhart +1; sister-in-law, Cindy Fisher, brothers, Mike (Charla) Fisher, Ken Fisher, Rob (Anita) Fisher, and baby brother David (Ethel) Fisher; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great-nephews, Claude (Kathy) Brewton, Jerry (Lynne) Brewton, and a host of cousins.
She was preceded in death her loving husband, Barry Bauman; beloved parents, David and Lucille Fisher; loving brother, Jeff Fisher; aunt, Dee; dear friend, and Pastor, Reverend Terry; grandparents, great-grandparents, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at later date.
