Deborah Joan (McNamara) Teachout, 70, passed away peacefully at The Toledo Hospital on Wednesday, January 13, 2021, with family by her side. Debbie was born April 23, 1950 at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, Michigan where she resided most of her life. She was the oldest of nine children. Debbie attended Eastern High School. She retired from GM after 30 years of service. Her greatest passion in life was spending time and making memories with her large family. She enjoyed listening to music, camping, gardening, cooking and sister road trips. Deb was also very proud of her Irish heritage. Debbie was the loving mother of 3 daughters, Tammy Niswander, Amy (Scott) Faulkner, and Marissa Zemer. Proud Grandmother of Ashley, Samantha, Madison, Riley, Sarah, Sydney, Donovan and Dominic. Great-grandmother of Lilee, Maurice, Illeana, Willow and Carson. She was preceded in death by her father Robert McNamara, mother Joan (Shoemaker) Greenshields, step-father Bruce Greenshields; sisters Maureen (Renie) VanDerBos and Brenda McNamara. Survivors include brothers Robert (Jill) McNamara, Shawn McNamara and Christopher Greenshields; Sisters Amber (JB) Croke, Robin (Kevin) Armstrong and Heather (Todd) Hunt. Deb also has several loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. Debbie was a funny, loving, sweet, vibrant woman who always made sure to say “I love you with all my heart and soul” before saying goodbye. Debbie, we love you with all our hearts and souls and you will be greatly missed. A celebration of life is being planned for a later date. Donations can be made to The American Heart Association or to the gofundme account being organized in Debbie’s name.
