Deanne Johnson

Deanne Jo “Dee” Johnson passed away with her family by her side on August 13, 2025, at Defiance Inpatient Hospice Center in Defiance, OH. Deanne was born on October 26, 1956, in Hicksville, Ohio, to Bolivar Johnson and Gwendolyn Fiig. Deanne enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, who were her world. They gave her the nickname of “Nana Juicy”.

Deanne is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Shane and Christy Johnson, of Wauseon, Ohio; grandchildren, Shyann Johnson, of Wauseon, Ohio, Stefany and Edwin Arocho, of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Brandon and Maranda Webster, of Bay City, Michigan, Sierra and Zakk Witte, of Ney, Ohio, Saleen and Dominick Tripp, of Wauseon, Ohio, Saige Johnson, of Wauseon, Ohio, and Chevelle Johnson, of Wauseon, Ohio; great-grandchildren, Aurora Dickerson, Giovanni Arocho, Freya and Kayce Witte, Bo Webster, Sienna and Wesley Johnson, Asher Tripp. Dee is survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Deanne was proceeded in death by her parents and great-granddaughter, Ella Marie Jo Dickerson.

The family would like to thank Defiance Hospice Center for the great care they provided her during her last few days, Davita Dialysis in Wauseon for all the days she had dialysis, and her K and P drivers for ensuring she got to her appointments safely, and the family and friends that shared their stories and memories with us during her last few days.

Per Deanne’s request there will be no services at this time.
