Dawn M. Mattison

Dawn Marie Mattison, age 68, of Delta, OH was called to heaven on Wednesday, July 29th, 2020 after a brief, yet courageous battle with lung cancer. She was born in Toledo, OH to Iva Davis and the late William Fowler. Dawn attended Waite High School and upon graduating she enrolled in Mercy School of Nursing ultimately achieving her goal of becoming a Registered Nurse.  Dawn worked at local hospitals, doctor’s offices and nursing homes until retirement in 1984. Upon retirement, Dawn moved to her forever home in rural Delta, where she resided until her passing. Dawn loved gardening, baking, helping people, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Dawn was free spirited, vivacious, forever late to the party, and loved by all who knew her. Dawn is survived by her mother, Iva; siblings, John, Mark, Matt, Kathie, and their spouses; son, Britt (Katy); son-in-law, Richi (Cori); grandchildren, Taylor, Brenden, Logan, Dylan, Reagan, and McKenzy; special friends, Gary and Mike; and fur babies, Romeo, Hunter and Harmonie Marie. Dawn was preceded in death by her father, William; sister, Cheryl; and daughter, Brooke. Special thank you to Danny Knopp for being a phone call away, helping when needed and making sure Dawn was always a part of the Knopp family. Due to COVID-19, there will be no services. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
