David P. Tulk

April 14, 1973 — October 12, 2021

David was born on April 14, 1973 in Norfolk, VA. He moved to Ohio when he was 3 years old. He graduated from Madison HS, Ohio in 1992. He participated in many activities in HS including wrestling, swim team and the school plays. His interests took him to auto repair school. While in high school, he tore down a small car and rebuilt it with the help of his dad and brother. He attended photography classes at Lakeland Community College in Lake County and studied Fine Arts at the University of Toledo. His interests knew no bounds and his career path was diverse. He was a photographer, which was a love that he would carry with him throughout his life, a graphic artist which would lead him to open his own Sign and Vinyl Graphic Installation Company. Later, he went through the certification process and classes to become a Computer Programmer of Expert Status. His dedication and achievements over the course of twenty years would lead him to serve as Vice President for a Toledo based Printing and Marketing Company. Dave was a consistent seeker of knowledge. He would often say "I know a little about a lot of things”, an intelligent man who inspired others to learn and seek knowledge. He was a conversationalist and while talking to him, he would push you to think outside your own box of understanding. He would inspire you to expand the lens you looked through and push through the limitations of your own beliefs. If he was a part of your life, he helped facilitate your growth in some way. He had a sense of humor unlike any other, and brought out the inner child of those around him. He was spontaneous and child-like, yet wise, dependable and unwavering to those he loved. As a father to his daughters, he was a guiding and loving force, no matter what challenges would arise he would always be there when needed. While growing up he took his daughters on daily "adventures" and helped teach them to be empowered and kind women. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Alyssa Caris, Lillie Tulk and Hannah Tulk; ex-Wife and friend, Billie Hayward of the Toledo Area; mom, Suzanne C. Tulk of Columbiana, Ohio; biological mother, Louise Bedrosian of Missouri; half-sisters, Eileen Blowers of SC, Laura Tulk of Florida, Jerry Tulk of Florida, Willie Tulk of SC, Laura Nation of Missouri; brother, Mark T. Scheller (Beth); and 1 grandchild, DeAngelo Hamilton of Toledo. He is also survived by several in-laws, nephews, nieces, aunts and uncles. Also left to cherish their memories together are girlfriend, Kathleen Gill and his canine companion, Solaryce. He was preceded in death by his father, Stuart P. Tulk, who was his best friend. Donation Remembrances for David can be given to the Lucas County Pit Crew, The Wood County Dog Shelter or The Ronald McDonald House. David had many friends and family so several celebrations of life will be planned. The family and friends are waiting until the sunshine and warm weather that Dave enjoyed to plan and hold these Services. The family would like to thank Jorgan Redick and JP Phailing for all their help and support during this difficult time. “We fear to know the fearsome and unsavory aspects of ourselves, but we fear even more to know the godlike in ourselves.” ― Abraham Maslow
