David L. Stewart

David L. Stewart, age 70, of Holland, OH passed away on August 17, 2022 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Toledo. David was born in Toledo on May 2, 1952 to the late Reed B. Stewart and Hannah Pat (Mooney) Simon. David went to Rosary Cathedral Elementary of Toledo then graduated from Central Catholic High School. He owned Dave Stewart Auto Sales for 23 years and was a respected car dealer for nearly 40 years. David even enjoyed cars in his spare time, his favorite being the ’56 T-Bird. He also enjoyed golfing and sipping a fine glass of scotch, with a cigar, alongside a good fire. He also was an avid traveler with his wife, Mary. They visited many countries and places, from Alaska to Ireland. David was a man of faith and believed in his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He was a strong, hardworking, and caring man who was always honest and forthright. David will be missed tremendously by friends and loved ones. Cherished husband of 50 years to Mary Monica (Lawrence) Stewart. Devoted father to Shadrick David Stewart and Griffin Reed Stewart. Loving “Grampa Lucky” to his only grandchild, Alena Elizabeth Stewart. Dear brother to Virginia (Tim) Wall, Bridget Clay, Rebecca (Kirk) Brown, Nancy Stewart, Tommy Stewart, Keith Simon, Kevin (Estrella) Simon, Colleen (Dick) Sanders, Patty (Mike) Link, Mary (Mike) Millenbuch and an amazing uncle to countless nieces and nephews. The family will hold a private memorial and a public celebration of David’s life will be held next year on his birthday. Details will be announced at a later date.
