REGO, David Milton “Dave”, age 67, passed away in his home last week. David was born on December 27th, 1954 and was a 1972 graduate of Robert S. Rogers High School in Toledo, OH where he lived most of his life. David was a long-time employee at Ford Motor Company’s Maumee, OH stamping plant, where he spent much of his professional life as a tool & die mechanic. David was a connector of people and a friend to all, and will be most remembered for putting smiles on the faces of others through his constant joking, kind demeanor, and unwavering loyalty. David was at his happiest working with his hands in his garage, wood shop, or garden, and will always be remembered by his ability to bring people together. David was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, husband, and friend to all of those he’s met. His life will have an endless impact on the lives around him and has created a legacy for those still yet to come. David was preceded in death by his parents Beverly and Robert Rego, and his sister Rhonda Rego Lorenzen. David is survived by the sprawling family he brought together; brother Robert (Laura), spouse and partner of 30 years Beth, son Jeremy (Paula) and grandchildren Marleigh and Mason, daughter Angela (Andrew Leech) and grandson Riley, daughter Kelly (Brittan Grubb) and granddaughters Andersyn and Charlotte, and son Jacob (Emily) and granddaughters Georgia and Jane. The family will host a Celebration of David’s Life, to be announced at a future date.
