David D. Metzger

Dave Metzger, 65, passed away on February 28, 2012 at Hospice of NWO. He was born on November 12, 1946 to Don and Betty (Chisholm) Metzger. He served in the US Navy / Submarine Service aboard the USS Tirante in Key West, FL. Dave was a member of the Paragon Lodge #788 and a 32 Mason. He was a heavy equipment mechanic for more than 30 years before retiring. He loved the outdoors and fishing. He is survived by his wife and best friend, Carolyn “Carney” Metzger; sister, Bonnie Metzger of Sebring, FL; sister-in-law, Nancy Baer of Honea Path, SC; several nieces and nephews and cousin, Tom Wright. He also left behind his dog, Hannah. Dave was preceded in death by his parents, his in-laws and brother-in-law.In honoring Daves wishes no services will be held.
