David Edward Link "Kieran Wolfkin", 62, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home on July 25, 2025.
Born on Christmas Day in 1962, David was a man of warmth, humor, and heart. He proudly served four years in the U.S. Navy and later devoted his career to helping others as a Certified Master Mechanic. Whether under the hood of a car or lending a hand to a neighbor, David could always be counted on—reliable, steady, and deeply generous.
David’s talents reached far beyond his profession. He was a passionate collector, skilled leather worker, and a gifted photographer. A longtime and active member of the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA), he brought history to life through his craft, camaraderie, and storytelling. His tales—always vivid, often hilarious—were a gift he gave freely to all who would listen.
To his family and friends, David was more than dependable—he was a rock. He is survived by his loving mother, Peggy Mlynek; his children, Tara Hernandez (Joe), Cori Link, and Bryan Smith (Alisha); and five cherished grandchildren who were his pride and joy.
He is preceded in death by his father, John Link; his brother, Sean Link; and his former wife, Janice Link. Though gone from this world, David’s legacy of love, laughter, and loyalty lives on in every story told, every photo remembered, and every moment shared in his name.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, August 8, 2025, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Shoreland Park Shelter House, 5470 Patriot Dr., Toledo, OH 43611.
All who knew and loved David are welcome to join in remembering a life richly lived and deeply loved.
