David was born to Robert Elsworth Jones and Hilda Joyce (Silvey) Jones of Toledo. He was a long term resident of Monroe, MI and then became a permanent resident of Toledo, OH. He passed at McClaren St. Lukes in Maumee, Ohio of medical complications. David was a man with many skills as a butcher, mechanic, auto trader, entrepreneur, and collector. He enjoyed motorcycles, racing of any style, camping, traveling, playing pool, collecting silverware from a variety of places and many ice cold beverages. Survived by his brother, Richard and sister-in-law Sherry; children, David, Christina and step-son, Charlie; grandchildren, Janine, Raeleigh, Elizabeth, Xavier, Zachary and Aurora; nieces, Shay, Dawn, Ruthann, Joycey, Dorothy, Wendy, Dom, and Denae; nephews, Bart, Damon, Derek, and Johnny; 15 great-nieces and nephews and 18 great-great-nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his grandparents, father, mother, sister, brother, and step son. No services at this time. A Celebration of Life will be in June for his birthday.
