David S. Hummer

David S. Hummer, age 62, of Toledo, Ohio passed away June 10, 2016 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio (Toledo). Dave was born to Sylvester and Virginia (Jones) Hummer on April 10, 1954 in Toledo. He was a 1973 graduate of Bedford High School. Dave was a competitive weight lifter, holding many titles, in his younger years. He also worked for years as a service technician within the food industry. He was an avid motorcyclist and a gun enthusiast. Dave also enjoyed country music, fishing, cooking and eating. Dave is survived by his siblings, Stephen Hummer and Denise (Keith) Budy; sister-in-law, Lisa Hummer; long-time friend, Mike (Deb) Young; 2 nieces, 5 nephews, 6 great-nieces, and 1 great-nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Michael Hummer. A celebration of Daves Life will be held Tuesday, June 14, 2016 from 4-8 PM at the familys home, 3004 Heatherdowns Blvd, Toledo, OH 43614. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff at Regency Hospital for their care and compassion for Dave.
