David R. Holden

David R. Holden, age 85, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away early Sunday, November 19, 2017, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, with loving family by his side. He was born in Tennessee on May 3, 1932 to Leonard and Willie (Ralston) Holden. He moved to Toledo in 1952. In the 70s he started a landscaping company, A-1 Lawn Service, with his son, David, serving customers in Toledo and the surrounding areas for over 40 years. He retired at the age of 79. He was preceded in death by his parents; and daughter, Kimberly. He is survived by his children, Sheri (David) Geyer, David (Kim) Holden, Doug (Chrys) Holden, Lisa (Gary) Hohn, Lori (Tom) McGee; son-in-law, Randy McCullough; former wife, Wanda McAllister; and grandchildren, Holden Geyer, Hayley Geyer, Heather Holden, Shannon Holden, David Holden II, Kaylee Holden, Morgan McCullough, Rachel McGee; four great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and brother, Harry Holden. In honoring his wishes, there will be a private memorial service. Memorial tributes may be directed to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
