David M. Hamilton

David M Hamilton, age 80, died peacefully in his home on July 31, 2016. He had a nature you could not help loving, and a heart that was purer than gold. To those who knew him, his memory will never grow cold. Author unknown David was a self taught musician, he played bass guitar and keyboard and he played in bands all over Toledo. ” He played solo later in his years and his music was enjoyed by all. He was a supporter of band and music events and charities. He never missed his childrens”music events. David also enjoyed a good pool game, he was very challenging on the table and was known as the Pool Shark. He attended Libby High School where he enlisted in the United States Marine Corp. He served from October 1953 to October 1956 in which he received an honorable discharge. He worked at Con Rail Road for 26 years and retired to continue with his music. David is survived by daughter, Diana (Jim) Lucas; grandsons, Michael (Lisa) Lucas and Anthony (Kayla Murnen) Lucas; great-grandson, Troy Lucas, and many nieces and nephews.”He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Gomoll; first wife, Joyce (Hamilton) Ramirez; beloved sons, David C. Hamilton and Paul J Hamilton; and sisters, Beverly Hutchinson and Geraldine Specht. David was blessed later in life with a second family. He is survived by Carolyn (Hamilton) Garrett, and step daughters Vicky Lawrence and Shelly (Lawrence) Benner. He was preceded in death by his step son, William (Bill) Lawrence.
