David J. Garwacki

David J. Garwacki passed away on December 15,2012, at the age of 87. He was a graduate of Woodward High School, class of 1943, and the Technical Institute of Detroit. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1943-1946. Dave was a self-employed TV repairman for 40 years. After retirement he enjoyed gardening and working at Wenz greenhouse. His dream was to be able to travel to Washington DC to visit the WWII memorial. That dream was realized in 2010.He is preceded in death by his father John, mother Agnus and sister Patricia. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Ruthella, daughters Debra (Gerald) Freels, and Karen (Mike) Osborne, grandchildren Adam (Danielle) Freels, Ryan (Katie)Freels, Jessica Tucker, Andrew Velte, and great grandchildren Tyler, Madison and Mckenzie. In honoring Davids wishes, no services will be held. Donations can be made to Hospice of Holly Glen.
