David Grasser Arnos

David Grasser Arnos passed away at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg on June 6, 2012 following a 7-year battle with Glioblastoma Mulitforme. He was born in Toledo, OH on June 17, 1956. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rolland E and Jeanne Grasser Arnos. Surviving are two children, Jennifer Marie of Tampa, Fl, and Michael Lloyd of Toledo, siblings, Cornelia Arnos Dugger of Birmingham, MI, Edward II (Linda Higgins) of Grand Junction, CO, John (Peggy Fox) of Toledo, and nieces and nephews, William Bird II (Cheri McCloskey) Robert Bird (Tina Monteath), Kristin Arnos Gossett (Christopher), Reed, Jacqueline, John Jr (Mack) Arnos, Trina Wooldridge and Shannon Wenzke. A lifelong resident of Toledo, OH, David graduated from Maumee HS, attended the University of Toledo for a year and then enlisted in the US Air Force, serving as a Flight Simulator Technician for the B-52 and B-1 Bomber. While in the Air Force he completed his BS degree in Industrial Engineering from Southern Illinois University. In 1981 he founded Midwest Renovation Center, Inc, an emergency vehicle manufacturing and service firm, developing the company from startup to a position as a prominent player in the Midwest US emergency vehicle manufacturing industry. In 1999 David began a new career in the IT Industry earning certifications from CompTIA, Novell and Cisco. He then served as an Instructor at Owens Community College and Stautzenberger College teaching classes in Networking, Cisco Systems administration and security, and Novel Network Administration. This led to a job at AK Tube LLC as Network engineer and computer security officer.David loved cars. He was a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers and Team Dodge. He collected and restored classic Chrysler and Dodge cars. He drove his 1975 Chrysler New Yorker in the Dream Cruise north of Detroit and he participated in the Richard Petty Driving Experience program driving NASCAR race cars at the Michigan International Speedway, Daytona and Talladega race tracks..
