Daryl Floyd Hansen

Daryl Floyd Hansen, 66, of Toledo, Ohio, was born on March 6, 1959, at Toledo Hospital to Pearl Lerman Hansen and Joseph Bellfy, and passed away on October 27, 2025, at Toledo Hospital.

Above all else, Daryl loved his kids. He always said that all he needed to be happy was his children, and he lived that truth every day. He took great pride in being a dad, and his love for his family was the center of his world.

Daryl loved his music, especially Van Halen, and could lose himself for hours in his favorite songs. He often dreamed of traveling to Alaska, a place that captured his imagination and sense of adventure. Within the last few years, he retired, but throughout his life he was always a dedicated worker. No matter what job he held, he took pride in doing it well.

He made friends wherever he went. Daryl had a story for every situation and could talk your ear off in the best possible way. He will be remembered for his kindness, his friendliness, his many accents (whether they were good or not), and most of all, his enormous heart. No one loved like Daryl.

He is survived by his children, Jacob, Jeffrey, Jared, and Beth; his siblings Cheryl, Gary, and Roland; and by many friends who will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his brothers Jan, Ron, and Rich.

The details of a celebration of life are to be determined and will be shared at a later date.

The family would like to thank the staff at St. Anne’s for their help and care of Daryl, even when it wasn’t always easy, it is deeply appreciated. The family also wishes to thank all those who offered support, love, and care during this difficult time.
