Darlene K. Ries

Darlene Kay Ries, of Bowling Green, passed away on August 3rd, 2025, at the age of 72. She went peacefully in her sleep to the loving arms of her savior Jesus Christ due to complications from bladder cancer. Darlene was born on February 21st, 1953.

Darlene is survived by her husband, Regan; their two daughters, Kimberly Tezak (Christopher) and Erica Cooper (James); four grandchildren, Logan, Amaya, David and Joshua; her sisters, Robin, Donna (twin forever), Judy, and Debbie; brother, Steve; step-father, George Lipovsky; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Darlene’s biggest joy in life was spending time with her family, particularly with her grandchildren, who she never hesitated to spoil. She and Regan attended Bowling Green Church of the Nazarene.

Darlene was preceded in death by her mother, Norma Lipovksy (Colbetzor); sister, Sherry; and her two fathers.

There are no services planned for Darlene, according to her wishes. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network in her name would be appreciated.
