An amazing woman has joined the league of angels. Darlene passed away at Flower Hospital on July 10, 2016 at 4:44 am. Due to her weakened health, she was unable to rally after necessary surgery for a broken leg. She will be missed by many. Darlene (Sis) was born to Howard E Krause and Marian E (Parker Krause) Blessing on July 30, 1934 in Waterville, OH. Darlene graduated from Waterville High School, Class of 1952 where she made many life-long friends. Darlene was a Paralegal; she started in the secretarial pool and obtained her knowledge with dedicated hard work. She was proficient in Gregg shorthand and soon acquired an executive secretary position. She worked for Toledo Legal Greats, such as; Tim Green and Jack Gallon. She finished her education and received a certificate as a Paralegal from the University of Toledo. She furthered her studies in the field of Workers Compensation law and achieved a career as a Self-Insured Claims Administrator. Darlene was the Oak Tree of her family and is survived by her many Acorns. Darlene had two children, her daughter Suzanne Marie Harshman & Jerry Herr still surviving, and her son Keith Howard Harshman who preceded her in death in 1996. The next crop of Acorns produced her grandchildren: Daniele Elizabeth Shelt, Ryan & Ericka Hilyard, Joshua & Ashley Mcatee, Brittany Suzanne Harshman & Tom Peternel, Scott & Courtney Phillips, Tiffany Harshman, Shannon Goss. Darlene was lucky enough to see two more crops for acorns thrive. Her great grandchildren: Austin Cluckey, Celest Cluckey, Amber Shelt-Friend, Kennedy Replogle, Kyhia Replogle, Izabella White, Logan Phillips, Estella Hilyard, Elaina Hilyard, Lilly Phillips , Noah Harshman, Luke Paternel, Sam Mcatee, Vivian Mcatee and her great-great grandchildren: Paxton and Lillianna Jibbs. Darlene is also survived by many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews. She has two surviving sister: Michael & Joyce Thieman and Jennifer Krause. Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands: Wilbur Harshman, Richard Hughes and John (Jack) Fry, and her brothers: Duane (Jim), Kenneth (Buddy), Dennis and Daryl Krause. Memorial Service for Darlene will be held on July 30, 2016, open house from 4-8 pm, at Angel Light Sanctuary, 12101 W Central Ave., Swanton, OH 43558. She loved attending Pot Lucks, Drumming Circles and Reiki shares at Angel Light Sanctuary. Darlene was a Reiki Master and a leading participate in the Toledo Area Spiritual Community. Darlene loved and enjoyed playing cards and socializing with her senior family and staff at the center.
