Darel L. Brainard

Darel L. Brainard, age 76, of Toledo OH, passed away peacefully on April 27, 2022. He was born in Warren, OH on April 16, 1946. After graduation from Bristol High School he attended Youngstown University where he majored in music. He enlisted in the Air Force and served as a member of the band in Amarillo, TX. He later pursued his interest in flying, earned his pilot’s license and became a flight instructor and operated a private flying service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Ledia Brainard. Survivors include his wife, Darry, daughters Cyndy Tinneman, Mustang OK, and Amy Miller, Huntsville AL, step-daughter Dannette Wissinger, sister Norma Anderson, Chattanooga, TN, brother Jerry Brainard, Gardnerville, NV, and very special friends Chuck and Jean Brainard, Toledo, OH. He also has five granddaughters and five great grandchildren. A private memorial service for the family will be held at the Toledo Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Christ the King church in Toledo (4100 harvest lane).
