Daniel Edward Knudsen, aka Dan the Bass Man, Danny, Papa, was born in St Louis, Missouri on March 15, 1958 to Edward A Knudsen and Joan Bennett. He passed away on November 21, 2021. He is preceded in death by his Parents. He is survived by his brothers, Mark Knudsen and Steven & (Mary) Helling; son, Joshua (Tiffannie) Knudsen; step-son, John (Blanca) Allred; grandchildren, Aubree, Elliot, and Jordyn Knudsen and Jonathan and Nico Allred. Daniel served his country proudly with the Navy 1975 - 1979. He served on the USS Kinkaid. During that time he received the Humanitarian service medal and Navy Expeditionary Medal. Daniel worked for Quail Properties in Raleigh, North Carolina for 28 years as a Maintenance Tech. before retiring and moving to Toledo, Ohio to be with his grandbabies. Soon, after being with his grandbabies he self proclaimed himself as Papa-Chauffeur. Daniel was an avid musician since the age of 14 playing the Bass guitar where he acquired the name, DAN THE BASS MAN. When he wasn't working, playing bass or being with his grandbabies, he loved to ride his “ass flat” on his Harley Davidson motorcycle. Daniel was a member of the 14th Ward Old Time Ballers association out of Toledo, Ohio. The family would like to invite all who knew him to join in a celebration of his life on December 11 2021 at 5pm at the 14th Ward 2388 Airport Highway Toledo Ohio 43609.
