Daniel Tem Deprospero

Daniel DeProspero age 69, went to be with the Lord, his heavenly Father, on Saturday, October 26, 2024, while at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his family following an illness.

Dan was born on January 25,1955, in Jefferson, lowa, to late mother, Patricia Criswell and late father, David Reed DeProspero. Dan had an older brother, David Scott (Cindy) DeProspero; sisters, Dottie, Deb, Kristen and Sherri.

The DeProspero family moved to Wheeling, West Virginia, where Dan went to elementary school, then moved to Toledo, where he attended Hawkins Elementary School, McTigue Junior High School and followed to Rogers High School. He graduated in 1973, leaving behind many lifelong friends. Dan then started his career of 34 years as an insurance salesman at Northwestern Mutual, before retiring.

Dan and his wife, Colleen DeProspero, had met at a bible study, where they served as a shuttle/parking crew. They were married on October 27,1990, and were married for 34 years, before Dan went to be with the Lord, the day before their 34th wedding anniversary. They became parents of daughter, Emily (Joshua) Kubicek, Ashley (Emiterio) Alonzo, and David (Derrick) Deprospero. He also leaves behind the joys of our life, two granddaughters, Elena and sweet little Maya.

Dan and Colleen have attended Christian Fellowship Church for 25 years, and have many friends that feel like family. His ministry was dedicated to sharing Christ with truck drivers and giving out Daily bread Devotionals.

Anyone that Dan came into contact with went on his prayer list.

My husband Dan DeProspero will be remembered for being light hearted and having a willingness to help others. He was my best friend and soul mate, a wonderful father, grandfather and a friend to so many. We will all miss him dearly, till we meet again in Heaven!

A Celebration of life service will be held at Christian Fellowship Church, 6711 Pilliod Rd. Holland, Ohio 43518, on Sunday, November 24, 2024, at 2:00 pm. Dinner in the fellowship hall will follow immediately after the service, for anyone that would like to attend.
