Cynthia Ann "Cindy" (Coutcher) Holding

January 13, 1965 — December 3, 2025

Sylvania

Cynthia Ann “Cindy” Coutcher Holding, of Sylvania, passed away peacefully on December 3rd, 2025, surrounded by her family and close friends. Cindy was born on January 13th, 1965, in Toledo, Ohio, to Kenneth Coutcher and Judith Coutcher. She was a proud graduate of Northview High School and the University of Toledo. She went on to work in the healthcare field for many years.

Cindy was the loving wife of 37 years to Steven Holding. She was the beloved mother of Luke Holding (Kayla), Allison Debo (Chad), and Joe Holding. She is survived by her father, Kenneth Coutcher (Peggy). She was the adored “CiCi” of Henry Holding and Drew and Brock Debo. Cindy was the cherished sister of Wendy Winters (Ronald) and Matthew Coutcher (Christy); sister-in-law of LeAnn Holding. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother, Judith Coutcher, and her beloved orange, furry companion, Oliver, her “Cutie.”

Cindy was known for her ability to light up a room, and to her, there truly was no such thing as a stranger. She had a giving heart and was incredibly selfless. She would do anything for anyone, talked to everyone, and was never afraid to ask questions—waitresses and waiters hated to see her coming! Her generosity was genuine, and everyone who knew her will always be grateful for it.

Cindy worshipped at Cathedral of Praise for many years, where she developed treasured, lifelong friendships. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and relaxing on sunny beaches. She loved shopping with her sister, daughter, daughter-in-law, and special friends, and she certainly knew her way around a good restaurant. In her younger years, Cindy enjoyed skiing with her brother, and together they taught her children to love the sport. Their adventures took them from Colorado to Quebec to explore the slopes.

Cindy’s family asks that she be remembered for the joy and laughter she brought to others in life, rather than the sadness of her passing. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her, but we can find peace in knowing that she is now in the presence of the Lord. Everyone who knew Cindy is forever grateful for the role she played in their lives. She had a rare gift of making each person feel seen, valued, and uniquely loved. Her heart was pure gold, and she loved unconditionally. Though she is no longer with us, her warmth, kindness, and the way she made people feel will live on in every life that she touched.

Romans 10:9-10

If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

Friends received Thursday, December 11th, 2025, from 4-8 p.m. at The Church Maumee, 3000 Strayer Road, Maumee, OH, 43537. A funeral service will be held in The Church Maumee on Friday, December 12th, 2025 at 11 a.m.
