Obituary

Cynthia Ann Crecelius, age 78, passed away on April 1, 2026, at St. Vincent's Hospital in Toledo, Ohio. Born Cynthia Ann Williams on March 13, 1948, in Tiffin, Ohio. She was the daughter of Howard Junior and Anne Faye (Setzler) Williams. Cynthia, known as Cindy, graduated from Thompson High School in 1966. She attended Ohio University and later Terra State Community College, aspiring to follow in her mother's footsteps as a bookkeeper.

On January 4, 1980, Cindy married Robert C. Crecelius at St. John Lutheran Church. To their union Cindy brought two sons from her previous marriage: Bruce G. Davies Jr. and Anthony

L. Davies. Robert brought two daughters Kyle K Crecelius & Della L Nelson and one son Charles W Crecelius.

Cindy worked Midnights at Whirlpool Corporation for over 30 years. She hired many babysitters for Bruce & Anthony, but the best one was Kyle Crecelius! Cindy and Bob enjoyed bowling, bingo, Date Nights, and spending time with family. After Bob's passing in 1995, Cindy continued to play bingo at the local Elks. She rarely missed a Cleveland Guardians game on TV. An avid reader, she especially loved books by Stephen King and Dean Koontz. Which explains her love of rewatching old scary movies. Cindy enjoyed gardening and observing wildlife, taking pleasure in watching birds, bunnies, and her favorite chipmunk, George. She was highly intelligent and delighted in sharing her knowledge.

She is survived by her sons, Bruce and Anthony Davies of Bellevue, and bonus children Della Nelson of Norwalk, Kyle Crecelius, and Charles (Debra) Crecelius of Bellevue. Cindy was also a proud grandmother to Kara (Tony) Conrad, Joshua (Daphne) Nelson, Jacob (Janet) Nelson of Norwalk, Jennifer (Phil) Hofsinger of Wakeman, and Karlene (Zach) Crecelius of Bellevue. Her great-grandchildren include Karissa and Katie Conrad, Joshua Jr., Lily, Lucas Nelson, Sophia Phieger, and Winter Bodi, Destinee Cowger. Cindy leaves behind many nieces and nephews. survived by her sisters, Linda (Roger) Laird of Baltimore, MD;

Jeanne Nailor of Bellevue; and Teresa (Roy) Zeigler of Perrysburg, Ohio, as well as her sister-in-law Ann (Rod) Wallace of Harrogate, TN.

Cindy is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Crecelius; her parents: Howard and Anna Williams; her brother-in-law, Gerald Nailor; her niece, Anne Nailor; her father-in-law, Homer Crecelius; her mother-in-law, Gertrude Crecelius; and her mother-in-law, Della Wahl Creels.

A memorial service will be held on June 6, 2026, at 11am, at Zion United Church of Christ, Fireside, located at 13525 Township Road 178, Bellevue, Ohio.
