She later gave piano and voice lessons in her own home.
Cindy loved cats, and very much enjoyed the family's pet cats during her childhood, and those who shared her home for much of her adult life.
She married Ted Carrothers of Toledo in 1969.
Cindy was preceded in death by her parents and by her husband, Ted. She is survived by her sister, Rose Anne White; cousins, Connie Morrow, Larry Crist, John Deare, Frank Deare; and nieces and nephews on the Carrothers side of the family, Irene and Ed Jacobs, Steven and Cher Carrothers, and Peggy and Larry Krontz.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to Cathy Dyko, Cindy’s good friend and guardian.
