Curtis King

Curtis L. King “Curt” the son of Clifford and Nettie (Wilder) King passed away at his home in Sherwood, Ohio with his family by his side on May 14, 2025.

Curtis was born on May 30, 1952 in Middlesboro, Kentucky, where he worked as a coal miner. He moved with his family to Defiance, Ohio in 1990. Curtis was a simple man who has always missed the mountains. He enjoyed sitting outside with his coffee in the early mornings, looking at old cars, watching ‘big foot’ programs, having a cold beer and spending time with his family.

Curtis is survived by his two brothers, Harold (Joyce) King and Jimmy King; one sister, Retha Fattler; four children, Kenny (Heather) King, Curtis (Nora) King, Angela Manis, and Tracy (Aaron) Wagner; 17 grandkids, 23 great grandkids; ex wife and close friend, Deborah Harris.

Curtis was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Nettie King; two brothers, Wendell Turner and Clifford King; one sister, Joyce Garner.

Burial services will be announced at a later date.
