Craig William Mckimmy

Craig McKimmy, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away 11/11/2023 at the Hospice of Northwest Ohio, losing his battle with cancer. His passing was sudden and unexpected. Craig was born on August 8, 1960 in Toledo, Ohio, to William and Carolyn (Hoerig) McKimmy.

Craig was raised in Sylvania, Ohio, and attended Sylvan Grade School, McCord Junior High, and graduated from Northview High School in 1978. Craig took up golf at age twelve, enjoying the game so much he started working at Spuyten Duyval Golf Course after graduation. For the next twenty plus years he worked at various golf courses in Northwest Ohio. At age forty-one he decided to further his education. In 2003 he graduated from Owens Community College in the top ten percent of his class. In 2006 he graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree, majoring in Agronomy and turf grass. He reached his goal and continued working in Northwest Ohio as an Assistant Greenskeeper and Greenskeeper.

He is survived by William and Carolyn as well as his brother, Scott.

He will be missed by his family and friends. Rest in Peace.
