Courtney Kalene Knadler passed away peacefully after a valiant battle with cancer on March 15, 2024, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Toledo.
Courtney was born October 13, 1992, in Tecumseh MI, at Herrick Hospital to Barbara (Morley) Knadler and Kenneth Knadler. Courtney attended Blissfield High School where she loved playing volleyball. She enjoyed playing softball in summer leagues. After graduating in 2010, she went on to earn her bachelor’s degree at Owens Community College as a Dental Assistant.
Courtney was an avid sports fan, especially U of M football. She tailgated and attended many games. She also loved to go fishing and had recently purchased a small boat so she could do so whenever she wanted. Being a big animal lover, she often pet-sat for many of her friends. She lost her beloved dog Wilson, who was sixteen years old, just six months ago. Courtney will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Courtney is survived by her longtime love, Joseph Mierzwiak; Joe’s father, Thomas Mierzwiak; her mother, Barb; brothers, Derek and Aaron; and many aunts and uncles in both her family and Joe’s family, whom she loved dearly.
Courtney was preceded in death by her father Kenneth Knadler and her grandparents.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. Online condolences can be sent to info@toledocremation.com.
