Corinne Rae (Abbott) Gage, 71, of Delta, Ohio, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2026, in Perrysburg, Ohio. She was born in Wauseon, Ohio, on August 17, 1955, to William F. Abbott and Alice May (McQuillin) Abbott, who preceded her in death.

Corinne was a proud 1973 graduate of Delta High School. She had a gift for caring for others, especially children. Throughout the years, she spent countless hours caring for the children of friends and family and became, as so many would agree, everyone’s favorite aunt.

Corinne had a wonderful imagination and a talent for turning ordinary moments into treasured memories. She would go the extra mile to make children smile—building trains out of cardboard boxes, creating octopuses out of hotdogs for lunch, and sewing and making countless Halloween costumes for her grandchildren. At Christmas, she was everyone’s favorite elf, and, to the surprise of many, she could occasionally be found appearing as Santa outside a window or two.

Her creativity extended far beyond childhood celebrations. Corinne was very artistic and enjoyed sewing curtains, painting pots, decorating cakes, and finding new ways to make things beautiful. She also loved a good romance novel and cherished the simple pleasure of a cup of coffee on Sunday mornings at her brother’s farm.

But what truly filled Corinne’s heart and lit up her life was spending time with her grandchildren. They were her greatest joy, and the love she shared with them will remain a lasting part of their lives.

Corinne touched the lives of so many people in her family and community. The many visitors, messages, and well wishes she received during her final weeks were a testament to the love and affection so many people had for her. She will be remembered for her generous heart, creativity, sense of fun, and the countless ways she made people feel loved.

Corinne is survived by her brothers, Fred (Anita) Abbott and Chuck (Deb) Abbott; her sister, Christine Abbott; her children, Tara (Meghan Wall) Gage, and Ammon (Christina) Gage; her grandchildren, Aidan Gage and Aidan’s mother Kelly Curtin, who was a beloved part of Corinne’s family, Elle Wall, and Liv Wall; and her nieces and nephews, William(Billy) Abbott, Doug (Lindsey Nash) Abbott, Lisa Abbott, Tiffany (Matt) Lawson, Chas (Amberly) Abbott, Emily Radebaugh and Carly Radebaugh.

At Corinne’s request, no service will be held.

Corinne’s family and friends will carry her memory forward in the traditions, laughter, creativity, and love she so freely shared with them.
