Cornelius "Corney" T Collins departed his earthly life to join his wife, parents and siblings in eternal rest on September 28, 2022, four days after his 77th birthday. Corney was born on September 24, 1945, to Irish immigrants, Patrick J Collins of Cork and Agnes Moran of Roscommon who settled in Toledo, Ohio where they raised four children, John, Margaret, Patrick and Cornelius. Corney met and married the love of his life, Robin, and they enjoyed a rich, fun-filled life together, always living life to the fullest often surrounded by their many friends and family. Corney had a very special bond to Robin's sister, Sue Leffel, and her family whose loving care and attention were of great comfort to Corney. Corney is a 14-year veteran of the Army Reserves and was Commodore of the TSC. He was an avid golfer and a staunch Notre Dame fan. Robin and Corney owned the Barkely House restaurant together in the 1970's. He retired from COT as a construction tech.
Corney and Robin loved to dance and will now hold each other in an eternal embrace in heaven, Robin having passed two years before him. He is survived by many loving cousins, nieces and nephews.
