Corliss D. Scott-Greenwade was born on June 25, 1960 in Toledo, Ohio to parents Everrine H. Scott and Isaiah D. Scott. Corliss was the youngest of five children. Corliss was found deceased on August 17, 2023. She was the widow of (late) Charles Stewart Greenwade and a doting mother of her two, only children; Nikki Rae Greenwade (daughter) and Seyed Raza Mirmajlessi Jr. (son).
In the 1970's, Corliss attended McAuley Catholic High School and graduated from Libbey High School where she crafted her passion for beauty, political science, fashion, arts, and music. As a teenager, Corliss was scouted and booked by local modeling agencies who were intrigued by her beautiful face, stunning attributes and slender body. She did print work for Lion Store, some departments and local runway shows.
At Bowling Green State University is where she gained an affinity for law, and later at Davis College, where she received her degree in Legal Business Administration. Later, she went on to work for local Toledo law firms, mental health centers, and in the office legal departments of Genoa trucking companies.
Corliss was actively involved in her Christian faith attending Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church and as a young woman joining the Order of the Eastern Stars Chapter.
Corliss was adventurous and had a passion for traveling with her family and friends. Photos of her, whether in Indianapolis, Las Vegas, Chicago, Tampa, Los Angeles, Cancun, Québec, or elsewhere in the world, she’s always shown smiling.
Corliss loved her family and her free-spirited, caregiving, charitable nature made her favorite among her nieces and nephews who called her-Auntie Corliss. The time she invested into each of the lives she touched; and the pure, unconditional love and wisdom she poured into others; to guide them, mold them, and give them strength showed her utter selflessness. She had a special place in her heart and affections for her Greenwade in-law family, her cousins, her many friends and acquaintances.
Corliss was a beloved mother, sister, aunt, and friend who will be missed dearly by those who truly cared for her and loved her.
Corliss was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Stewart Greenwade; parents, Isaiah Doris Scott (father) and Everrine Hazel Scott (mother); sisters, Josephine Scott and Wanda Scott-Harrison; nephew, Johnny Feemster; and niece, Ronda M. Scott.
