Connie Jo (Wilkins) Faehnle

Connie, age 74, passed away November 1st after a long and courageous battle with heart disease.

Connie was born on February 2, 1948 to her loving parents Elmer and Esther Wilkins and was raised in Bloomville, Ohio (Seneca, Ohio).

She left Bloomville in 1966 to attend Toledo Hospital College of Nursing. After graduating she worked for Toledo Hospital as a Surgical nurse for over 35 years, then retired from The Surgery Center at Regency Park.

Connie was fortunate enough to have traveled throughout the United States before her son Benjamin was born in 1975. Ben was always the “Love of her Life”.

One of her fondest travel memories was her trip to Hawaii with her mom Esther.

In 1996 she married Michael Faehnle. They enjoyed their life together with their blended family. They had many memorable vacations to St. Augustine, Florida and numerous camping trips with all of their children and their 12 grandkids.

A quiet, yet outspoken soul, she will be missed by her husband Mike, son Ben (Rachael) Bohnett, Aaron (Robin) Faehnle, Dianna (Grant) Gergely, Hannah (Jason) Rogers, Kevin (Tess) Faehnle and 15 grandkids. Connie will be especially missed by her sisters Paula Streaker, Betty Flynn & Lee Perkins. She was preceded in death by her sister Patty Ann, brother Barry and parents Elmer and Esther Wilkins.

A celebration of life tribute will be on Friday, November 18th; Friends will be received from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM where a memorial service honoring Connie’s life will begin at 12:00 PM at Cedar Creek Church South Campus, 2150 South Byrne Rd. Toledo, Ohio 43614.
