Colleen Adler, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully on November 26, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.
Colleen worked for 26 years at the University of Toledo in various departments, including the bookstore, Carlson Library, and the College of Law, retiring in 2007. She lived a life full of creativity, humor, and heart. She loved to cook, needlepoint, shop, and enjoy a good margarita.
Her cocker spaniels held a very special place in her life—Flip, Sally, Sarah, Meredith, and Mallory—and she loved sharing stories of their antics. Above all, Colleen cherished her grandchildren, who brought her endless joy and were truly the light of her life. She especially loved when her grandchild brought her favorite Icy, a simple gesture that always brightened her day.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Adler; her parents, Melvin and Matilda Gallant; and her brothers, Donald and Tom.
Colleen is survived by her children, Tony (Melinda) Adler and Michelle (Jeff) Smith; and her beloved grandchildren, Aiden, Miranda, and Blake.
