Clyde Wentling, age 82, of Perrysburg passed away on August 19, 2022 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Toledo. He was born on April 1, 1940, in Carey Ohio to the late Wendell and Hazel Wentling; he was the oldest of 5 children. Clyde graduated from Cary High School and worked on the family farm. He entered the U.S. Navy and was trained in EMA school, setting him on a new career path in life. He then completed Local 8 IBEW apprenticeship and became an inside wireman. He loved the work, challenges, and variety in electrical work. Later, he attended the University of Toledo in labor management classes. He was a proud Union member and worked as a business representative in the Local 8 office for 15 years until retirement. Taking early retirement, he spent the last 25 years traveling the United States with Linda in their camper. They were blessed to see Canada, U.S. National Parks and spend winters bird watching in Texas and Arizona. He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Linda Wentling (12/23/2021) and is survived by his daughter, Lisa of Toledo; sons, Brian Wentling of Lima and Aaron (Lori) Wentling of Fairfield; and grandchildren, Tyler, Jenna and Rachel.
