Clifford T. Stone

Clifford (Cliff) Theordore Stone was born Jan 6th, 1964 in Holcomb, NY. Till his last days, he kept his sense of humor and wit about him. He passed away peacefully on December 15th, 2022 in Toledo Ohio.

He was known by some as Stonewall, Uncle Slick, Dad, Brother, and Friend.

He is survived by his 3 children, Zachary, Nicholas and Sarah Stone; his mother, Theordora Baldwin; stepmother Gail Stone; siblings, Cheryl (Stone) Lamb, Craig Stone, and Caryl Stone.

Cliff was a diesel mechanic by trade and got his start working for the family business at Fairport Collision in Upstate New York. He worked as a mechanic for Laidlaw/First Student in Rochester NY for many years before ultimately settling in Ohio.

He got his love of working on cars from his dad, John Stone, who always had a project in the works. Cliff was a Jeep guy thru and thru so moving to Toledo was an obvious choice!

He took great pride being a school bus mechanic and while in Ohio, worked for Lake Local Schools in Millbury as a bus driver. He loved his bus route and truly enjoyed his students that he met at his time at Lake.

While some will remember him for his tough exterior those who knew him knew how kind-hearted and funny he really was. He had a particularly large sweet spot for animals and will be missed dearly by his beloved cats Lucy, Ethel and Oreo.
